Hello Parents and Players,

Here is your EDSS update for the week ahead.

Please take a moment to respond to the email regarding Fall/Winter possibilities. In order for us to avoid the complications and delays we experienced in the summer it is important for me to have all players responses by the end of the day tomorrow.

1) Special note re practice NEXT week – Beach Training: Tuesday August 20th and Thursday August 22nd practice will be held at Port Stanley Beach (in front of GT’s) from 6 – 7:30 PM. Please have the kids bring a change of clothing as some of the training will take place in the water. Isa has requested that the boys where their RED uniforms. Pictures will be taken for the sponsor.
2) Special Note Re Practice Beginning September 3rd – Location change: Beginning Tuesday September 3rd all practices will be moved to Mother Theresa Secondary School loacated at 1065 Sunningdale Rd E, London
Time:6pm -7:15 pm
3) Beach soccer also improves a player’s cognitive skills. The high tempo that is characteristic of the sport forces players to recognize and analyze each situation right away and reach a quick decision on what to do. Players who correctly anticipate a situation during
a game will gain more time to select and prepare
an action. The ability to read a game and anticipate individual moves is a crucial success factor for any player of a team sport and can be learned particularly well at a young age.
